HISTORY OF
TURKISH CUISINE!
We all know that Turkish food
is one of the most varied and, of course, delicious cuisines
in the world. But where did it come from? Turkish cuisine is
a direct descendant of Ottoman cuisine, which in turn comes
from Central Asia, the Middle East, and the Balkans. And
within Turkish cuisine, there is a wonderful diversity of
regional specialties. The Aegean region, which includes
Istanbul, is savory, with lots of rice and seafood. The
Black Sea region, where the cuisine in heavily influenced by
Slavic cuisine, specializes in fish and is famous for hamsi,
those delightful Black Sea anchovies. Finally, in the
southeast of Turkey, we get the most famous of all Turkish
foods, the kebab, as well as Turkish desserts, such as
baklava and kadayif. The ingredients...

TURKISH COFFEE (TÜRK KAHVESİ)
Turkish
coffee is simple and romantic, the way it was first
made as a coffee drink. Turkish coffee is not the
kind of coffee you grab on the way to work...it's a
coffee for quiet enjoying. Turkish coffee is
especially good for those who love... life!
Coffee
is an integral part of Turkish culture and customs
since already the Ottoman days. Though coffee was
brought to the Ottoman court by Arab traders, the
Turks created a new way of preparing coffee,
resulting in unique taste, smell and consistency...Read

TURKISH DESSERT (BAKLAVA)
Delicious! One of the best Turkish sweets
Baklava is a typical Turkish Dessert made of layers
of nuts and spices which creates a very light and
flaky pastry. This is combined with honey and lemon
flavored syrup. Simply a treat.
I CAN EAT 24/7
Mmm, I just finished
one! (Again!) Nutty, with paper-thin pastry and a
glaze of fresh honey.
Especially with Turkish Coffee, unbelievable lovely.
Try it at Pasha's Restaurant when you visit.

Turkish tea tends to be more popular than Turkish coffee

PİLSEN BEER Efes
Pilsener Beer ; share impressions and enjoy real thirsting for life!
Reviews :
BEST BEER :
I drink this at the Pasha's Restaurant. One of the best
beers I've ever had. (Helen - 25yr)
CHRIS :
I'm 67 years old, I've visited dozens of countries all
around the world, and drunk a lot of beer in a lot of
places. Maybe it's some kind of eurocentric chauvinism, but
it was a surprise to find a really excellent beer which is
Efes Pilsen. I loved it!... |
